Vary by forming raw meatballs around frozen ricotta cheese balls. Bake immediately. Serve with marinara sauce over pasta or on sub rolls with mozzarella cheese.
| 6 cups | fresh bread crumbs |
| 1 1/3 cups | whole milk |
| 2 teaspoons | dried oregano |
| 2 teaspoons | crushed red pepper flakes |
| 2 tablespoons | kosher salt |
| 1 tablespoon | ground black pepper |
| 2 cups | grated Asiago cheese |
| 1 cup | minced Italian flat leaf parsley |
| 6 tablespoons | extra virgin olive oil |
| 4 | eggs, lightly beaten |
| 2 pounds | ground beef |
| 1 pound | ground pork |
| 1 pound | ground turkey |
| 1 pound | sweet Italian sausage |
| 8 ounces | prosciutto, minced |
- Combine all ingredients except meats in large bowl.
- Add meats. Combine lightly with hands.
- Shape into 2-inch round meatballs.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
