341 gramsmelted unsalted butter, clarified

252 gramsgranulated sugar
170 gramswater
14 gramslemon juice

  1. Combine walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. Arrange half of filo dough sheets in half-sheet pan.
  3. Spread half of walnut mixture over filo.
  4. Arrange half of remaining filo dough sheets over walnuts.
  5. Spread remaining walnut mixture over filo.
  6. Top with remaining filo dough sheets.
  7. Slice baklava into bite-size pieces.
  8. Pour clarified butter evenly over baklava. Allow to absorb for 10 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  10. Meanwhile, combine sugar syrup ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
  11. Remove cloves. Pour syrup over hot baklava. Allow to cool.
